On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, millions of generous individuals from across the globe joined together for听a global day of giving back.听This #GivingTuesday, we raised more than $22,000 thanks to the generosity of听150 donors who believe in the power of reading.

We invite you to join the听#PowerofReading campaign听throughout the month of December, as we spread a love of reading听all across听the country. You can help us provide weekly, one-on-one tutoring to more than 11,000 students in under-resourced schools who are working to catch up to grade level in reading.听

By supporting Reading Partners, you鈥檙e helping students like Loc, who discovered a love of reading while working with his reading partner, Ron. Loc told us,

After a while, I learned that I loved reading. I started reading in my classroom and reading at home. Now, when I get bored, I read a book and it makes me happy. A book is the power of me.

We were so inspired by Loc, we decided to ask other students how reading gives them superpowers!

We鈥檙e proud to provide the opportunity for passionate volunteers to become allies in education for their students. With your support we can empower thousands of students as they work hard to improve their reading skills and become more successful in school. 1. Donate.听Reading Partners听relies on donations from individuals like you to keep the听program alive. Consider making a听tax-deductible donation of any size.
2. 听Reading Partners is in the running to receive up to $50,000 in grants across 10 regions听during听the Yelp Gives Local contest, but only if we get enough online votes! Vote once a day from Nov 29-Dec 9.
3. Volunteer.听If you aren鈥檛 already tutoring with us, sign up to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life.
4. 听Connect with us on social media and tell your friends and family about the great work Reading Partners is doing in communities all over the country!
